Storage Unit Collection and Sorting Day

Fairfax, Virginia

Volunteers and refugees came together to organize donations

Volunteers and refugees came together on 11/30/21 to help sort donations of clothes and household goods at our storage units in Fairfax, Virginia. Over the course of one day we were able to pack up over 50 boxes, and prepare for delivery to local families over the next few weeks. More collections are on the way via our winter clothing drive collaboration with the Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, the Girl Scouts of America, and local high schools. Stay tuned for future volunteering dates to help us sort and distribute!

About Us

Global Shout is a U.S. based 501(c)3 tax-exempt (EIN#: 85-2382286) non-profit organization originally founded by students at Georgetown University in 2005 as Global S.H.O.U.T. (Students Helping Orphans in Underprivileged Territories). After an early focus strictly on the education and care of orphaned children in third world nations, the organization underwent a gradual shift in scope of humanitarian work, expanding beyond the university and dropping the acronym, with a full rebranding in 2019-20, now operating projects internationally of varying type and purpose.
